Cristina Freyria Fava received her degree in Chemistry from the Turin University in 1990. She began her activity as a researcher in an Italian biomed company and subsequently joined the intellectual property department. There she handled IP matters for the company and its foreign subsidiaries also as the manager in charge for in/out license negotiations and agreements. Her experience covers the different areas of intellectual property, from the drafting and prosecution of patent applications up to technical counselling in judicial proceedings. Her main areas of expertise are chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life and health sciences.
Admitted to practice before the Italian patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office as well as EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office), Ms. Freyria Fava is fluent in English, with knowledge of French.
